HAPPY DREAMS, LITTLE BUNNY is about a little bunny who can’t fall asleep because he has too much on his mind. But with a little help from his mother, he finds he’s able to channel his whirling thoughts into plans for that night’s dreams.

As Little Bunny gets sleepier and sleepier, the images in the book drift in tandem with Little Bunny’s thoughts. And because the book explores the transitional state between waking and sleeping, the images in the book are quite surreal. The cover, with Little Bunny and his stuffed elephant boating in the clouds, hints at the fantastical adventures that await these two friends.

I think many of us can relate to the anxiety that Little Bunny feels at night, especially now during these troubling times. My hope is that HAPPY DREAMS, LITTLE BUNNY will inspire children to take comfort in their own flights of fancy and provide a soothing antidote, even a strategy, for sleepless young readers whose imaginations are wide awake.
