FREAKY, FUNKY FISH: ODD FACTS ABOUT FASCINATING FISH is about the unexpected ways fish look or act to survive in the waters they live in. From zapping, stinging, even singing, to playing dead or having a see-through head—there are some seriously freaky, funky, AMAZING fish in our world!
I got my first look at the color cover at the end of February. When I opened up the file and saw the swarm of fish swimming across the cover, I couldn't stop smiling. I loved it! Claire manages to give each fish a personality and it just makes me chuckle.
FREAKY, FUNKY FISH is a fun nonfiction picture book that kids will dive into to learn about lots of different kinds of fish. Extensive back matter gives information on why or how the various fish do what they do. And Claire's illustrations add another layer of humor. Hopefully kids will want to read it over and over again!
