Neesha gives thanks, and a critique!
Picture book writers don’t get much room for acknowledgments in their books, but we have so many people to thank. It’s been a week since TURTLE IN A TREE - the picture book debut of Troupe member and author-illustrator Neesha Hudson (Dial) - climbed onto shelves…
… and it’s time to say THANKS!
Here’s a message from debut picture book author-illustrator Neesha Hudson:
Thank you first and foremost to my husband Daniel for being my unwavering support through the years long, up and down process of getting a book published! And to my son Eli, who gave me the inspiration for this book.
Thank you to my agent Rebecca and Writers House, for believing in me and this idea. Her feedback and encouragement were exactly what was needed at exactly the right time. TURTLE literally wouldn’t be the book it is without her.
Thank you to my editor Kate, Jason, Lily, and the entire Dial team. You believed in TURTLE from the start and have been nothing but amazing through this whole process. I am truly grateful for the group of people I have surrounding this book. Lastly thanks to mom and dad. I asked to go to art school and you didn’t hesitate to help me get there. I owe my entire career to you.
To show her appreciation of the picture book community, Neesha is giving away ONE manuscript and/or dummy critique to a picture book writer!
